Colorado has many beautiful animals that can be seen in the wild, including mountain goats, bighorn sheep, black bear, moose, deer, elk. There are also bobcats and mountain lions, but actually viewing one is extremely rare.

Colorado offers an opportunity to view some plants that are rare or critically endangered.

Colorado back country offers opportunities to find crystals and other minerals. If you get far enough off the beaten path, often crystals can be found on the surface.

There are opportunities in Colorado for panning, sluicing, high banking, and dredging.

Camping excursions include everything from glamping to only being as comfortable as what you can carry on your back.

An introduction to the basic skills necessary to better your chance of survival in the wild.
